Database Administrator partners with the System Engineers, Middleware Group, Database Design Group and Application Teams to ensure the availability, performance, security and maintenance. When not directly responsible for project work, responsible for assessing the impact of all project work performed against the DWH enforcing compliance with Architectural and Database standards as well as ensuring maximum performance. While the Database Designers and Application teams are focused on specific projects, the Database Administrators are focused on the Data Warehouse as a whole.
